My Journey in Sewing

Mon Parcours en Couture - DollyK Baby

I discovered sewing when I was in tenth grade, thanks to my mother. She passed on this passion to me, almost without realizing it, simply by showing me the joy of creating with her hands. I was fascinated by how a simple piece of fabric could be transformed into something unique, through patience, precision, and imagination. Very quickly, I wanted to learn myself. At first, my stitches were clumsy, my finishing rough, but I already felt the immense satisfaction of giving shape to my ideas.

It was around this time that I decided to embark on my first small entrepreneurial venture: I created an accessories boutique called "XuxuDesign." This project was born from a mix of curiosity, creativity, and spontaneity. I handcrafted small, original, colorful pieces inspired by my tastes and my surroundings, and offered them for sale. To my great surprise, the boutique was quite successful . The feedback was positive; people appreciated my work, and that encouraged me enormously. I was still young, but I had already realized that I deeply loved creating with my hands and sharing what I made.

Over time, however, I chose to put sewing on hold. I've always been a very curious person, drawn to different art forms: drawing, interior design, digital creation, music… I needed to explore, to try everything in order to better understand myself and find my own path. This break allowed me to enrich my artistic vision, develop my aesthetic sense, and later return to sewing with a broader and more personal perspective.

Today, I decided to rediscover this passion with a fresh perspective . The techniques came back to me naturally, as if I had never forgotten them. I rediscovered the unique pleasure that textile creation provides: the concentration, the calm, the satisfaction of a job well done. Returning to sewing is a bit like returning to my artistic roots. I am truly happy to embark on this adventure again, more confident, more inspired, and more determined to give a new dimension to what I love to do.
